Beer and Make Up

This Miller Beer advertisement's concept is very good and the punch line is striking. However, there are some problems in the casting.

In my opinion, the woman in the picture does not give justice to the character that the advertisement is trying to convey. She looks appealing, with or without make-up, in the picture. The creative director could have gotten a pale-looking yet pretty gal.

Moreover, the guy in the advertisement looks more like a boy-next-door type who would rather drink colas or ades instead of beer. I think the best character to portray that role is a guy who is having a bad boy look yet handsome image. Dressing him down a la James Dean or Brad Pitt and make his complexion more reddish would do the trick.
