Glimpses of future developments at the Coastal Bay City

The final layout was the one on top. But I also posted the other two designs so that you may have an idea on how we came about with the final one.

As you can see, the first version had a bluish hue. As much as I would like the bluish background; however, blue is not the color motif of the client. So, second revision was rendered based from the preferred color of the client. Then again, the background rendered was too futuristic and grandeur as it depicted a sort of another Makati City in the offing; hence, it was subjected to another revision.

After some collaboration, the bluish background was retained which covered about two-thirds of the poster, while a third of the space was based from the client's motiff of orange and green. Furthermore, the tall building structures in the poster design were removed in order to align with the captive and target market of the commercial complex - i.e., the future residents of the surrounding residential area that belonged mostly to the low-middle to middle income brackets.

Now, the design is more of a Sta. Rosa commercial complex, which is quite alright.

NASA gathering one million names to be sent to the moon

Since May 1, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has invited the public to join the excitement of the first mission in its exploration program to return humans to the moon by 2020.

According to the NASA website, the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO), which is scheduled to launch on the last part of this year, will map the moon surface in extraordinary detail and help future human missions to the moon locate safe landing sites and vital resources on the moon.

I just sent my name this morning in support of the program, and got my electronic certificate of participation after a very short while. To join, click this link and submit your name as per instruction: http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/LRO/main/index.html

The names will be placed on a microchip that will be installed on the LRO spacecraft and travel to the moon. The deadline for submitting names is June 27, 2008.

So, hurry! There are only few days left.

Superhero fanatic

I am a superhero fanatic. I grew up reading about these characters, admiring them, and occasionally dressing up as one of them.

In particular, I like the Man of Steel, no other than Superman, and Iron-Man because of their superhuman strength, extraordinary powers and virtual invincibility.

However, there is a deeper reason other than those I mentioned that made me like these two characters. Try and guess it... heh-heh-heh.

Clue: My surname's last two syllables' English translation.

The Royal Northwoods: An Oasis of Luxury

*Brochure copy written by Ludwig Ritchel A. Kalambacal for Studio 23/4 Graphic Designs (Jan. 26, 2007).

Welcome to the Royal Northwoods Residential Estate

“Welcome to The Royal Northwoods Residential Estates.

“The gates are open for you to take a peek at luxury in its truest sense.

“Let us walk along a leaf-dappled promenade.

“Delight yourself in a verdant panorama of lush greenery, graceful cascades and shrubberies bright with exotic blooms.

“A soothing breeze wafts through your hair while taking naps under the trees or reading by the lagoon.

“The sun is on your shoulders as you swing your way to an entirely different golfing experience.

“You and the entire family can rejuvenate as often as you want without leaving home through a variety of sports activities and fun-filled recreations.

“The Royal Northwoods Residential Estates is truly a family’s haven.

“A 160-hectare development transformed into an oasis of luxury where homes and gardens clasp each other in blissful harmony.

“Although it may seem a world away, The Royal Northwoods is just an hour’s drive from the city of Manila. It is strategically located in the peaceful town of San Rafael, in the heart of Bulacan.

“Far enough to the busy and crowded metropolis, yet near enough to the comfort and convenience of today’s urban living.

“It provides a first-class living retreat where a myriad of essential amenities are all within reach.

“An ideal place for families who are tired of living in the hustle and bustle of the city…

“For professionals and entrepreneurs who are looking for a weekend respite or worthwhile investment…

“For the ‘balikbayans’ and foreign retirees who would opt to spend the twilight of their years in the Philippines.

“You may choose from a variety of two-storey, contemporary home designs built around an open layout scheme.

“The classic Spanish-style architecture of every abode captures the pure and simple pleasures of sublime living.

“In addition, The Royal Northwoods prides itself in its world-class golf course. A Graham Marsh-designed 18-hole golf course lends a placid backdrop to your precious enclave.

“So entice yourself to be part of this idyllic and prestigious community...

“Where everything you have witnessed and experienced stays with you.” ☻
